Questioning religions

Written before, but published after, my epiphanous ‘Long night’ in Kuala Lumpur.
It is easy to gather a crowd and shout and demonstrate about so-called Muslim sensibilities being offended by one thing or another.
I wonder how many want to demonstrate and shout about the Nazi memorabilia openly for sale outside schools and in the marketplace? They are deeply offensive to the whole of humanity.

The politics of the mob thrives on hatred.
If we as Muslims believe in one Allah and one creation then everything that He created are brothers made by the same hand. Hatred of anyone is, therefore, shirk. Division is a work of Shaitan. Unity – and love – is Divine.
